We have a lovely chance for your art to be splashed across swag and posters all over the Bay! The Bay Area Sherlockian Charity Convention needs a logo, and that is where YOU come in!We are looking for anyone with an idea to create it- the more the merrier on entering this so anyone from anywhere can enter the logo design contest multiple times. The prize for the winner will be the joy of seeing their image all over (And possibly get an extra Con Swag bag- even if they’re international!)- AND either a free ticket to the convention or a 30$ gift certificate to Red-bubble. These Logos will be being used on the website as well as convention bags, posters, potentially even on shirts as well! As such, we have to have any logo in 2 sizes. One will need to be roughly 5 inches large for use in shirt designs and bag designs, and one small for use on the website. The Website is LIVE! We have a Logo Contest that starts Feb. 29th and a Video Contest that starts March 1st. Ticket sales ASLO begin March 1st!

Please also do check out the Forum and Contests, both are open to ANYONE, not just folks that can make it to the convention.

In fact, we set up each of the art contests- (Logo, Poster contests, Video Contests) in such a way that anyone and everyone the world over can participate, and the convention attendees get the final vote for the placing order of the top 10, and reap the rewards of having an entire fandom strut it’s stuff.

The logo contest, for example, has either a free ticket OR a 30$ gift certificate with the website of the winner’s choosing. (if they don’t want redbubble!)


We have our location, the Camera 3 Theater in San Jose is perfect!~ 

OKAY. Camera 3, has offered an amazing deal on our 300+ seats total auditorium.  (We will sell only 300, the remaining seats will be held for guests and staff and setup for events, etc).

The date of June 10th, we have the the largest of the three auditoriums all to ourselves. There is ample stage room for any potential Q&A sessions or events, and also plenty of room for tables to be set up around the sides for both displays, Raffle prizes, events and catering. We are all set with Blue Ray playing and 2 wireless and two wired microphones for anyone on stage to use.

Donation per ticket is 45$, Minimum sold to cover seating and catering, is 120 seats filled at 45$.
We can offer that if we sell 240 tickets, the donation for everyone drops to 35$.

OR

We can do a special badge for anyone that donates 50$ as a keepsake, and they get preferred seating, via first access to the theater, with the 35$ tickets coming in after. And this will be the two break points for donations.

We can always take larger donations, but the point of this event is to have fun. :D As such I want this to be as accessible as possible, so if you want to donate extra or have any ideas for fundraising to go along with this, please do let me know!

I am looking forward to seeing you all here and on the forums in the next few months, and really want your feedback, this is a meeting by and for San Francisco Bay Area Sherlockians. (And any Sherlockian from anywhere else that can make it!)
